Granite is a natural material, each piece with its own unique variations, in a wide variety of colours and crystal types. Finishes can vary from the highly polished, to honed and textured – a great deal of attention to detail gives our customers the best possible surface. Granite can be cut into different shapes for curved corners, be cut out for hobs and sinks, have recessed drainer grooves, or let into window recesses. Treske use excellent granite suppliers and will talk through the different surface options.
Quartz is a man made granite equilivent, made by crushing stone, mixing and then resin bonded into a virtually non porus, durable, stain resistant, surface. Surfaces are available in different thicknesses and a huge array of colours. A full range is available.
Corian is an acrylic surface, made by Dupont, that is bonded onto a substrate. As an acrylic Corian can be shaped and moulded to create the ideal joint free work surface. Many customers also have this material as seemless sinks and splashbacks.
